It’s Easter weekend. This is the most significant holiday of the year. It starts on Thursday (Skærtorsdag), followed by Friday (Langfredag), then Saturday (Lordag). Sunday is Easter (Første Påskedag) followed by Monday, which is (Anden Påskedag). It is a guaranteed five-day holiday. Added to that, many take the whole week off because the schools close including some of the Child Care facilities. That would mean five days added to the five-day holiday gives many a ten-day vacation. The icing on the cake this year is the wonderful weather we have had this past week, which is projected to continue for a few more days. We have had clear skies with temperatures in the high 60s. Who could ask for more? I might add that except for the Azaleas and the Pink Dogwoods, we have the same flowers and trees in bloom here as you have in bloom in Portland.
This week has also been a blessing at the Temple. Because many have had time off, and because the Temple has been open during the holidays, we have had some of the largest sessions in the past eight months. We have also had many baptismal sessions, for which we are the Baptismal Coordinators.
The photo gallery this week includes our walks in the open-air museum (Frilandsmuseet) and in Tivoli Gardens.

HAPPY EASTER!
ReplyDeleteThose Danes really like their holidays don't they? How fun that it gives so many opportunities for Temple service.
I love the hanging lanterns & bells in the garden.
Love you,
